A few notes about the audio encoding

  • We recommend that you listen to the .WMA files if you are able to.
  • Both MPEG-1 Audio Layer and Windows Media Audio files are provided for playback of audio samples.
  • We find that Windows media files provide a superior encoding algorithm and better> sounding audio compared to that of the LAME Mp3 encoder we use here. (Especially in the bass frequencies). Toms Hardware provides excellent visual representation of the WMA and MP3 formats.
  • We provide Mp3 files because they offer the best compatibility of any other format and we really want you to hear our samples.
